Insert moulding guide

Selecting the right vertical insert machine

A vertical insert machine should be selected around the component and mould. Start with the resin, part weight, runner weight, insert-loading method and intended cycle. These determine the practical shot capacity and working layout.

  • Confirm mould dimensions, daylight and required opening stroke.
  • Include the part and runner when calculating shot weight.
  • Plan safe and convenient insert loading and finished-part removal.
  • Match pressure, temperature and cycle control to the selected material.
  • Discuss automation only after the manual production flow is clear.
Clamping systems

Why toggle locking matters

A toggle mechanism converts movement into strong final locking near the end of the clamp stroke. In a correctly selected machine, this can provide stable mould closing and repeatable clamping for insert and overmoulding work.

The final decision should consider mould size, projected area, material pressure, insert position and access requirements. Gangotry confirms the configuration against the customer’s mould before quotation.

PVC production

Choosing single or double station

A single-station PVC paver machine offers a compact production cell and straightforward operation. A double-station arrangement can improve workflow by allowing handling at one position while the second position is active.

  • Choose single station for compact layouts and focused output requirements.
  • Consider double station when handling time limits the production cycle.
  • Confirm mould size, PVC formulation, cooling and operator workflow.
  • Review the electrical load and water-cooling requirement before installation.
